Russia and China have developed a plan for cooperation between military departments for 2020–2021, which will be approved in the near future.
This was announced by Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu at a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Colonel General Wei Fenghe. According to Sergei Shoigu, thanks to the friendly relations between the leaders of Russia and China, bilateral cooperation is successfully developing.
“We recently held the 24th meeting of the Russian-Chinese mixed intergovernmental commission on military cooperation. We discussed a number of issues that relate to future prospects for 2020 and 2021, the head of the Russian military department said. “A big plan of cooperation has been prepared for the near future, I’m sure that we will consider and approve it within the next month.”
Sergei Shoigu expressed gratitude to the Chinese military personnel who took part in Tsentr 2019 maneuvers.
“Almost 1,500 Chinese servicemen came to take part in this large-scale event, and a large number of equipment. Of course, they showed high skill of training,” the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation assessed, expressing confidence
The Head of the Russian Military Department expressed confidence that such exercises would continue.
“Of course, we will continue to strengthen our cooperation and relations, precisely thanks to the exercises that took place in 2018 and which have passed now,” Sergei Shoigu emphasized.
