Холодная московская ночь. Красная площадь в снегу, здесь шумно и многолюдно. Вместе со всеми мы ждём Новогоднего боя Кремлёвских курантов.
Мы так близки. Тёплые куртки, тёплые шапки и нежные чувства не дают нам замёрзнуть. Иногда я достаю виски из кармана куртки, мы подкрепляемся, и нам становится ещё лучше. Мы почти не разговариваем, нам не нужны слова, чтобы понять друг друга. Какой мороз! Мы теснимся друг к другу. Я чувствую волшебный запах твоих духов...
Начинается бой часов. Радостные возгласы толпы. Вместе со всеми, собравшимися на Красной площади, считаем удары... Полночь! Салют! Потрясающее зрелище! Невероятно! Все кричат: «С Новым годом!» Мы пьём за здоровье и смотрим друг другу в глаза. В прекрасном взгляде твоих глаз вопрос: «Ты всё ещё любишь меня?», а в моём взгляде — чёткий ответ: «Да! Конечно! Я всегда буду любить тебя, родная». Поцелуй, объятия. Мы счастливы и делим веселье с толпой. Какая чудесная ночь. С Новым годом, дорогая! - пусть этот год будет самым лучшим для нас... Затем мы уходим домой.

We are very close, warm overcoats, warm hearts and tender feelings, keeping each other warm. Occasionally we sip whisky from a flacon in my vest-pocket ...it get us tipsy, feeling even better.
No talk we understand each other without much conversation. It's freezing cold, we cuddle even closer, you smell wonderful - what a parfume ...

The clocks starts chiming, the crowd starts cheering and we count the chimes like the rest of the crowd on red square ... midnight - the fireworks begins, what a view what an excitement - everybody shouts cnovim godom - Happy New Year - we drink to each others health and look each other deep in the eyes ... your beautiful eyes keep asking me - DO YOU STILL LOVE ME ? - and mine firmly fixed on yours reply - YES OF COURSE - I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU ! - we kiss and cuddle - happy cheering with the crowd - what a wonderful night - Happy New Year Darling - may it be our best year ever .... then we head home ....

Es ist die bislang wichtigste US-Reise für den ukrainischen Präsidenten: Wolodymyr Selenskyj kommt nach Washington, um bei den USA um Geld zu bitten. Davon hängt womöglich die Zukunft seines vom Krieg gebeutelten Landes ab. Seit Russlands Überfall auf die Ukraine Ende Februar 2022 sind allein aus den USA weit mehr als 40 Milliarden US-Dollar an Militärhilfen für den Abwehrkampf an Kiew geflossen.

Damit ist vorerst Schluss. Denn mittlerweile haben Bidens Demokraten die Mehrheit in einer der beiden US-Parlamentskammern, dem Repräsentantenhaus, an die Republikaner verloren. Ohne Einigung zwischen beiden Parteien gibt es kein Geld. Das Weiße Haus hat berechnet, dass die bisher genehmigten Mittel bis zum Ende des Jahres zur Neige gehen werden.

Vom US-Kongress hängt nicht nur die militärische Unterstützung ab. In dem Paket von umgerechnet knapp 57 Milliarden Euro, das Biden beantragt hat, sind auch direkte Haushaltshilfen für Kiew in Höhe von rund elf Milliarden Euro enthalten. Mehr als drei Milliarden sollten davon eigentlich bereits in diesem Jahr fließen und konnten nur zum Teil anderweitig ersetzt werden. Für 2024 klafft im ukrainischen Haushalt ein Loch von gut 38 Milliarden Euro, das vor allem mit Geld aus dem Ausland geschlossen werden soll.

Auch für den US-Präsidenten steht eine Menge auf dem Spiel. Deutlich wird das an den drastischen Appellen, mit denen Biden und sein Team den Kongress seit Wochen zum Handeln auffordern. Die Ukraine werde "auf dem Schlachtfeld in die Knie gezwungen", sollte der Fluss an Waffen und Ausrüstung aus den USA unterbrochen werden, schrieb die Direktorin des nationalen Haushaltsamtes an die Führung in beiden Kongresskammern.

for tactical, political gain to please the West, talks about two states in the 1967 borders (which are not defendable by Israel), but no Palestinian public support, no mass rallies calling for peace and reconcilition with Israel have ever been seen on the streets of the Westbank, quite the contrary is the case,whereas Gaza under (legally elected) Hamas Control,proclaims the final goals of ridding Palestine from the Jewish “Zionist” State … this is said and taught in kindergarden,schools and everywhere else, seeing the elimination of the Jewish State a mere ” matter of time ” … To them it matters not whether you are dovish good people, tolerant and well-intentioned, or whether you are hawkish, stubborn and ready for the fight (they always prefer the latter type of opponent) …

As long as this attitude which is being rekindled with every military campaign, every war there seriously cannot any group of people in their right mind be so naiiv as to think of a PEACEFUL – 2 state solution.

Those well-meaning groups of “peace activists” who are so one-sided and blinded by propaganda are driven by wishful unrealistic thinking, ignoring the fundamental threat which actually is so noisely apparent und unfolding everyday anew under their very eyes, but they remain blinded and deaf to these fundamental threats ! Often there is such a huge mentality gap, and a tendency to see the Palestinians through their western eyes and code of conduct, which is so very different and foreign beyond their comprehension.

Often these (mostly western) organizations do not realize their being cleverly and cynically exploited by Palestinian Propaganda, which is based on the human suffering, the terrible conditions of ongoing occupation for already over 4 decades, and which continues to be the main problem in the future.

The fact that much of the suffering is self-inflicted through the upholding of the “destruction of the zionist entity ” doctrine, the use of children and civilians as human shields, behind which armed militants conduct their deadly business, is blanked out so that only the tragic human suffering from the harsh occupation remains the main focus point, totally ignoring and disregarding the actual cause of such suffering and mishandling.

In early 1990, Iraq accused Kuwait of stealing Iraqi petroleum through cross-border slant drilling, although some Iraqi sources indicated that Saddam Hussein's decision to attack Kuwait was already made a few months before the actual invasion.[18] However, a variety of speculations have been made regarding the true intents behind the Iraqi move, including Iraq's inability to pay the more than US$14 billion that it had borrowed from Kuwait to finance the Iran–Iraq War, and Kuwait's surge in petroleum production levels which kept revenues down for Iraq.[19] The invasion started on 2 August 1990, and within two days, most of the Kuwaiti military was either overrun by the Iraqi Republican Guard or retreated to neighbouring Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
